Meet the founder

Hi, I’m Mia.

Founder, Discovering Her Inc.

“This is more than a program to me. It is a calling—and a sisterhood where every girl deserves to feel seen, heard, and loved.”

Why I started

A calling close to my heart.

Discovering Her began with my love for pouring into girls and helping them see the beauty, strength, and purpose already within them.

Mentoring girls has shown me how powerful it is when a young girl has room to be herself—to ask questions, try something new, laugh, create, and grow surrounded by genuine encouragement.

That is the heart of Discovering Her: a sisterhood where girls build confidence, form meaningful connections, discover their gifts, and have fun becoming more of who they were created to be.

And because growth should never feel dull, creativity is woven into the heart of the experience. My background in fashion taught me the joy of making something with my own hands. I also find joy in cooking and in bringing people together. Through creative experiences, honest conversation, mentorship, and practical life skills, girls are invited to express themselves, try new things, and recognize what has been inside them all along.

My hope is simple but profound: that every girl who enters this sisterhood leaves knowing she is seen, heard, loved, and worthy of becoming everything she was created to be.

What shapes the work

Called. Creative. Caring.

Every Discovering Her experience is shaped by Mia’s lived experience, creative background, and commitment to helping girls recognize their value.

Seen & heard

Every girl deserves to know that her voice matters, her feelings are valid, and her presence has value.

Sisterhood

A community where no girl has to feel invisible or face the journey of becoming alone.

Creative joy

Hands-on experiences in fashion, cooking, and life skills that make growth expressive, memorable, and fun.

A note to parents

Thank you for trusting the vision.

When you entrust your daughter to Discovering Her, I do not take that lightly. She will be welcomed with care, listened to without judgment, and encouraged to embrace who she is while growing into the young woman she is becoming.

My hope is that she leaves each experience feeling lighter, more confident, more connected to her gifts, and certain that she is seen, heard, and loved.

My own journey from hidden pain toward healing also became the story behind my memoir, Out of Bondage. It is another part of why I believe so deeply that a girl’s present pain does not have to define her future.
